| Around 1909/1910 My grandfather used to work in a photographic studio at 21 The chain. It was called Chain Studios (ex Griggs). Anyone have any knowledge of this business I wonder? I have a photo of the shop as it was then. If the house numbers haven't changed, numbers 21-23 appear to be a Chinese Takeaway now. My grandfather was also the Hon. Secretary of the Sandwich Harriers, a running club that he started up I believe. Any knowledge of this club would be useful too.

| Very sorry to hear that the Donkeys were absent at the carol service. Many memories of the Salvation Army playing At Christmas, together with the East Kent hunt with Nipper Stevens of Worth on Boxing Day.

| Wishing you all a very Happy Festive Season and apologies for any gliches with the guestbook - had to pause it for a while due to spam pressure. Hopefully it's back to normal now.

| Do they still sing carols round the tree at Christmas and have the donkey in the nativity near the cattle market?

| Just browsing and found this site. I lived in Sandwich from 1955-1966. Lived in Vigo Cottage with my 7 siblings Jane Peter Anne Alan Sarah Claire Ruth and Sheila Mum and Dad (Dorothy and George) does anyone remember us? Unfortunately Jane passed away a few years ago. One of my many memories is of my dad pulling 3 of us along the river (between the white bridge and the sluice gates in a tin bath!! (where was health and safety then). Of SPS being gravy monitor helping the dinner ladies serve the lunch. Mrs Brown making me sit on my left hand so that I could not use it to write. Do you remember the outside toilets Yuk!!! Some of the names I remember are Maureen White, Carol Castle, Janet Warmsley, Carol Knowles, Trever Hodges, Peter Collins and Stephen Inklersole. Would love to hear from any of you. My email address is annee@felgates.co.uk

| Does any body know, Beryl Wells (nee Eason)? Her parents lived in the cottages at the back of Richboro' Castle.
