Hi Sandwich folk
Can anyone tell me if Dennis Harle is still alive and kicking. He with ornithological, painting and conservation skills, I last saw him on a visit 5 years back so he would now be in his eighties.

I agree with Colin - AND you don't have to be the other side of the world. I can feel homesick and I'm in Lancs!! Still a few moments reading the messages, recognising a name here and there and looking at the pictures of the old town cheer me up no end. Best wishes to all Sandwichites living away from the old place.

Hugh Jackson, can you contact me, as I lost your info and couldn't reply to your email.
The Rudd boys (in Gillingham I believe), can you also contact me.
Anyone else I knew from Sandwich Primary school in from about 1948 -50.
When I look at this web site, it makes me so homesick and floods me with beautiful memories.
Keep at it Sandwich you make me proud.

In reply to "Dave's" message:
There always used to be a system where organisations could post their own events automatically. Unfortunately, this was only used by 5 out of the 46 Sandwich organisations we originally contacted, so we decided to discontinue it when the web site was updated in July this year.
We now try to list the major events when notified and also retain photographs and information of interest concerning past events.
Information concerning a Christmas market, late night shopping, free parking and Christmas lights will be posted shortly. There will also be information concerning other major events taking place next year.

You always used to list the town events,so we would know what was going on.(eg the french market and the christmas lights etc)You have a page but no information. Will this be coming so locals and visitors will know what's on.
