Hello, I visited Sandwich yesterday, it is a nice town. Unfortunately I was only there for 2 hours, I'll surely come back for a longer visit. We were guided by an old mayor of the city, het told us his name but I forgot it. He was 86 years old. Can anyone tell me his name please? Regards Marc

| Hi I'm trying to locate R Newton who left Sandwich in about 1928/29. The last address I have for him is Colwick Notts. I'm not sure if he is still alive and would be in his 90's. My mother was his daughter and she kept in touch with him for some years after arriving in Australia. I found his address among her things after she died. I would love to hear from his children or grandchildren.

| Hazel, Great to hear from you. Yes, I remember the plays etc. Also dressing up round the church hall in some quite grand frocks given to us by the ladies of the town. Peter lives near Wellington - do you still have the doll he made you, mine's long gone. Lucky Bill to live in Christchurch, we had a lovely holiday there a few years ago. Tell him I've never forgotten his "Nelson's Eye" party trick - poor Pat Carlson probably hasn't either!! I posted a reply to your earlier message, you may not have read it. Mentioned New Year Eve games of Monopoly (I still reckon Bill cheated!! He always won). Also how did your poor drainpipe survive all those games of 'feet off ground'! in Church St. Happy days!! love Pat.

| SSM reunion for the leaving year 65, 66 & 67. I left in 66 some of this year left in 65 (not haven taken an exam)and I new some of 67 bunch. I recently had some renewed interest in a reunion so i thought of having some drinks and perhaps a meal or buffet in Sandwich. I think there should be about 15 to 20 people more if you wish to bring your partners, it depends if they know any of us. (It is only my thoughts, but school leavers only). I thought about one of the Saturdays in the first three weeks of May 2007. Anyone who has not be in contact please contact me on bph @ bhoare.com to discuss the best weekend for most people. I can make any one of them. Kind regards Bryan
