Sandwich Kent England UK: Research your Family History

Open Sandwich gets several messages from people researching their family history - this new section may help.

St Clement's Church, Memorial Inscriptions

St Clement's ChurchYou can search for family names and dates in the memorial inscriptions on the gravestones in St. Clement's Churchyard. (click Here or see button on the right).

The memorial inscriptions date back to the early 1700's and will no doubt be useful for people reseaching their Sandwich ancestors.

When visiting the churchyard be sure to respect the plants, also some of the graves may appear overgrown - but what may look like a weed to you may be a rare plant! (See 'One Chap's View' on the right).
